On August 29 at 6:30 PM, Gaetano’s Italian Restaurant is hosting an Italian food & beer dinner featuring the beers of Left Hand Brewing in Longmont, CO. The night will features five courses of Left Hand’s exceptional craft beer paired with a four-course, one-night-only menu from Gaetano’s Executive Chef Kevin Savoy. In addition to delicious food and beer, the night will provide insight into how Italian cuisine (most associated with wine drinking) is actually a perfect match for full-flavored beer. The dinner is limited to 45 seats and costs $50 (the price includes tax & tip). Reservations are required and can be made by calling Gaetano’s at (303) 455-9852. A cultural landmark in Denver with a history that dates to 1947 and Denver’s mobster era, Gaetano’s is one of Denver’s most revered Italian eateries. Independently owned and operated by Ron Robinson (the former longtime GM of Wynkoop Brewing Company) Gaetano’s specializes in classic made-from scratch Italian fare and bar culture, all updated with subtle modern approaches. Kevin Savoy is a 32-year veteran of the Colorado culinary scene and joined Gaetano’s as Executive Chef in November of 2016. Savoy has worked with some of Colorado’s top establishments and chefs including Frank Bonanno, Matt Selby and Goose Sorenson. In August 2017 Savoy will roll out a new Gaetano’s menu that honors the restaurant’s history and roots while adding contemporary culinary touches. In addition to its recent Best Italian Restaurant accolade, Gaetano’s also earned 2017 Westword Best of Denver awards for Best Bloody Mary Bar and Best Old-School Italian Restaurant.
